The Springs Preserve offers ever-changing educational opportunities for teachers and students alike. With themes exploring all aspects of nature and science (and aligned with Nevada State Standards), our exhibits are interactive, engaging and fun!

Tour options

Want to explore the Springs Preserve with your students? Take them on a free self-guided tour! Self-guided tours are generally offered Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to noon. (Non-CCSD schools may take the self-guided tour Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, from noon to 2 p.m.)

Who qualifies?

Our free self-guided school tours are available for the classes of teachers in Southern Nevadan public, private, and charter schools, during the school year, after attending our orientation.

Not a teacher at a public, private, or charter school? We’d still love to have you here! Feel free to contact our Group Sales team to coordinate an experience for your group.

What's included?

Access to our grounds and attractions including Origen Museum, Boomtown 1905, WaterWorks Museum, Nature Exchange, Botanical Garden, Trails and our picnic areas.

Note: Nevada State Museum field trips must be booked separately. Book a Nevada State Museum field trip.

What's not included?

Toddler Time, Butterfly Habitat, or guides.

Ready to book?

School tours have changed for the 2024-25 school year! Learn all about the policy changes and the exciting opportunities for your students at the Springs Preserve by attending one of our monthly virtual orientations. These orientations will replace our previous "Teach the Teacher" video requirement. You will receive access to register for school tours upon completion of the orientation. We look forward to seeing you there!

Teachers and chaperones can watch this video tour of the Springs Preserve before bringing their students on a field trip. The video tour should take approximately 15 minutes to complete.

Required forms

Teachers must bring these signed documents with them to their school tour.

  • Chaperone Expectation form: This document outlines our expectations for chaperones. There should be one chaperone or teacher for every 20 students. The maximum number of chaperones is one for every five students. Any additional chaperones above that ratio must pay $9.95 admission.
